Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
Created with ease of use and superior comfort in mind, the VaporFit™ system relies on a proven dial system integrated with a tuned elastic fit through engineered shapes. Each VaporFit™ system has a full 5cm of swivel adjustment. In addition, the system can be moved up/down or forward/backward at the attachment points. AirEvac is a patented ventilation system that works with the ventilation holes on the Smith glasses, they have a constant flow of air through the entire system.
