GRIP - LOW WEIGHT - PUNCTURE RESISTANCE: this is the Pirelli P Zero Race road tire in a nutshell.
By leveraging experience from World Tour races and a relentless pursuit of perfection, Pirelli's developers have managed to create the most high-performing all-around race tire of this iconic brand.
Its performance parameters surpass all road tires Pirelli has introduced in the past, including tubulars. After three years of development in collaboration with the fastest riders in the World Tour circuit, Pirelli succeeded in designing this new tubeless-ready tire with a new SmartEVO rubber compound and TechWALL+ casing construction, offering an excellent product to both professional cyclists and all cycling enthusiasts!
The main use of the tire is for performance and endurance bikes and marginally for time trial bikes in the seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and marginally winter.
USED TECHNOLOGIES
SmartEVO Rubber Compound
The latest generation of smart polymers for maximum grip with low rolling resistance.
The new SmartEVO rubber compound uses a blend of three different polymers, each providing specific performance qualities to achieve an optimal balance of contrasting features like grip and rolling resistance. Pirelli has utilized its knowledge and experience from over 100 years of developing rubber compounds for motorsport, where these products have always been used at the highest level of racing across all disciplines. This extensive knowledge from development and racing has enabled Pirelli to create a triple polymer compound with "smart" performance properties for cycling tires, forming the basis for the excellent characteristics of the SmartEVO compound - better grip in both dry and wet conditions, and at the same time, lower rolling resistance. Pirelli has created a performance rubber compound designed and fine-tuned for all modern road cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where climate and diverse surfaces demand tires that reliably perform at the highest level in all circumstances.
