The tire is designed for speed without compromising handling. Thanks to the SmartEVO2 compound, it has very low rolling resistance and performs excellently on wet surfaces. The TLR (tubeless-ready) construction adds comfort, higher grip at lower pressures, and better puncture resistance. The RS variant is tuned for racing - it responds more quickly and feels more "lively," allowing you to get more out of every watt.
The foundation is the enhanced SpeedCORE construction, which helps seal the tubeless solution more quickly while simultaneously strengthening puncture protection in critical tread areas. The fine carcass with a density of 120 TPI gives the tire compliance, smoothly reading the asphalt and holding the line even on rougher surfaces. The SmartEVO compound developed by Pirelli uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing specific properties to achieve an optimal balance of opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance. The development of the SmartEVO compound has benefited from a wealth of motorsport knowledge drawn from over 100 years of experience. SmartEVO compound offers improved dry and wet grip, while offering lower rolling resistance.
