The tire is designed for speed without compromising controllability. Thanks to the SmartEVO2 compound, it has very low rolling resistance while performing excellently in wet conditions. The TLR (tubeless-ready) construction adds comfort, higher grip at lower pressures, and better puncture resistance. The RS variant is tuned for racing use – it responds more swiftly and feels "livelier," so you get more out of every watt.
The basis is the improved SpeedCORE construction that helps seal the tubeless solution faster while simultaneously enhancing puncture protection in critical areas of the tread. The fine carcass with a 120 TPI density gives the tire flexibility, allowing it to smoothly read the asphalt and hold its line even on rougher surfaces. The SmartEVO2 compound balances grip and efficiency – the tire is lightning-fast in a sprint, calm and readable in technical sections. The RS version uses an optimized, fast slick for maximum road speed.
Suitable for both front and rear wheels, it works great on quality asphalt and rougher surfaces. The size on the rim may vary slightly depending on the internal rim width; the tire is designed for most current road TLR rims according to common standards.

The SmartEVO compound developed by Pirelli uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing specific properties to achieve an optimal balance of opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance. The development of the SmartEVO compound has benefited from a wealth of motorsport knowledge drawn from over 100 years of experience. SmartEVO compound offers improved dry and wet grip, while offering lower rolling resistance.
