TECHNOLOGY:

ProWALL
A sidewall reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and a more stable performance when using lower air pressures in the tire. An additional layer of nylon fabric over the sidewall ply enhances resistance not only against cuts and punctures but also improves the overall tire behavior in corners, allowing for better bike handling and more precise tracking. These attributes were achieved without compromising tire weight and pedaling efficiency, making tires with this technology perfect for use in racing XC setups to aggressive Trail riding, when complemented with the appropriate casing (120tpi or 60tpi).

SmartGRIP
This premium rubber compound is a result of Pirelli's experience garnered from off-road racing circuits for both 2 and 4 wheels around the world. Pirelli engineers developed a compound with two diametrically opposing characteristics:
• cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with longer life
• chemical wet grip: no need to worry about changing conditions, whether it rains or the track has muddy and slippery sections

The result is a longer-lasting tire performance that not only holds excellent grip and traction in contrasting conditions such as dry and wet but also maintains these riding characteristics as the tread wears down. Contrary to multi-compound rubber compositions (two or three), the single-compound SmartGRIP formulation allows for balanced riding performance throughout the tire's wear life. The greater mechanical durability of the rubber also offers higher resistance not only to wear but also to punctures, therefore requiring more force to cut or puncture the tire.
