Pirelli Scorpion Enduro R HardWALL 29" is a tire designed for Enduro riding.

The R model has a specific design for the rear wheel. It features a medium-height profile of blocks and medium spacing between them to improve traction and durability. Additionally, the tire boasts a high level of reliability and longevity.

The ideal combination for maximum performance is Pirelli Scorpion Enduro S on the front wheel and Pirelli Scorpion Enduro R on the rear.

The construction relies on the HardWALL casing, which reliably keeps the tires on track and in corners, and on the SmartGRIP rubber compound, which provides excellent grip and traction in both dry and wet conditions and also allows for impressive puncture resistance throughout the life of the tire, even after the tread wears down.

Tire construction technology from Pirelli with a protective layer from bead to bead and a rubber insert for aggressive trail riding. The tire construction designed specifically for challenging terrain riding - multiple reinforcements built directly into the tire casing aim to improve the overall resilience of the casing as well as allow for more support when using lower tire pressures. With a nylon protective layer from bead to bead, which is an integral part of the casing, and a thick rubber insert over the bead, the HardWALL construction is designed to handle relentless use with ease and protects against punctures. Incorporating these reinforcing elements together with a 60tpi nylon casing contributes to a solid and durable construction that supports reliability and ride quality without compromising on weight and power transfer efficiency from pedaling.

The result is a longer lifespan of riding characteristics, which not only offers excellent grip and traction in opposing conditions like dry and wet, but also maintains these riding characteristics as the tread wears. Unlike multi-compound rubber mixtures (two or three compounds), the single compound composition of SmartGRIP allows for consistent riding characteristics throughout the tire's wear and its entire lifespan. The greater mechanical resistance of the rubber provides increased resistance not only to wear but also to punctures, requiring more force to cut or puncture the tire.
