The new downhill tire from Maxxis, named Assegai, was developed with significant contribution from downhill legend Greg Minnaar.
The tread pattern of the tire is based in the center section on a combination of the renowned Minion DHR II and DHF patterns, where the DHF rolls well and provides confidence on hard surfaces, in corners, on wet roots and rocks, and the DHR II adds speed and aggressiveness when braking.
The design of the side knobs was inspired by another favorite tire, the High Roller. Additionally, you have construction for wide rims, Wide Trail, tubeless capability, double sidewall reinforcement, the excellent compound 3C Maxx Grip, and you have an outstanding downhill tire.

Excellent tire, mainly for the front. When used in the rear in wet/snow, in my opinion it slips unnecessarily too much under power, but it brakes great.
Výborná guma, hlavně teda na předek. Při použití vzadu za mokra/sněhu podle mě zbytečně moc prokluzuje při záběru, brzdí ale skvěle.
