More informationSome parts of this page are translated automatically, so please excuse any imperfections.
POC Kortal Race MIPS is a top-tier MTB helmet that combines innovative safety technologies with comfort for long days on the trails.
Thanks to the MIPS Integra system, it helps protect the brain from rotational forces during crashes, while the extended protection zone at the temples and the back of the head provides a higher level of safety.
The helmet is compatible with goggles and has a removable visor with an adjustment feature for maximum visibility.
It includes an integrated NFC Medical ID chip twICEme®, which can provide rescuers with important medical information in the event of an accident.
Kortal Race offers excellent ventilation even at lower speeds and is also ready for e-MTB—meeting the requirements of the NTA 8776 standard.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
Near-Field Communication systém (NFC) is a short-range wireless communication technology. It is built into the helmet shell with a chip and used in the helmet to store medical documentation in the event of an accident. This helps the paramedics to proceed better with respect to the rider's medical card.
