The POC Y's Layer Merino 3/4 Tights base layer was designed for maximum comfort and performance in winter sports for the youngest athletes.
It combines the natural properties of merino wool with functional construction for ideal temperature and moisture regulation. It keeps you warm in the cold, cools during higher activity, and quickly wicks sweat away from the body. Merino is also antibacterial and prevents odors.
The tights have a close fit and a minimal number of seams in the crotch. They are shaped for maximum comfort even under a tight race suit, and the 4-way stretch material does not restrict movement.
A wide elastic waistband ensures a comfortable and secure fit, while a double layer in the knee area provides extra warmth where it’s needed most.
Ideal as a base layer under a suit or jacket.
Material: 81% merino, 12% polyamide, 7% elastane
Merino is a breed or group of breeds of domestic sheep, characterized by a very fine soft wool. Garments made from this wool are very comfortable and non-scratchy. The structure of the fibre and the weaving technology create multiple "air pockets" and thus guarantee thermal comfort of the wearer. The pockets keep the air warm on the body and create very effective insulation. An important characteristic of Merino is also neutralisation of sweat and elimination of odour, which is why Merino wool is often used in winter sportswear.
