Rock Machine Lukk 40 gravel bike Gloss Granite Green is a gravel bike for riding on asphalt, gravel, and forest roads, including bikepacking. It sits in the mid-range segment, where the focus is on balancing performance and price without racing ambitions. It’s aimed at riders who want a versatile platform for all-day pace as well as fully loaded adventures.
The frame is made from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a gravel geometry focused on stability off the pavement. Up front, it’s paired with a Gravel Specific aluminum fork made from custom tubing, which keeps the handling precise. The FSA No.42/48 ACB headset uses integrated bearings for stiff, responsive steering. The bike is intended for men’s and universal use in model years 2025 and 2026.
Drivetrain: Shifters and derailleurs are microSHIFT SWORD in a 2x10 configuration. A microSHIFT SWORD 11–38T cassette is paired with Prowheel SWORD FC-G7000-46 cranks and a Shimano BSA bottom bracket.
Brakes: Tektro MD-C550 mechanical disc brakes with a dual-piston caliper deliver braking power via Shimano SM-RT10 rotors. Rotor diameter is 160 mm front and rear.
Wheels and tires: The wheels are built with Stars J20 rims and Shimano FH-QC300 hubs. Rubena X-Road E-Lite tires measure 28x1.60 (42-622) for fast rolling on gravel.
Cockpit: The Selle Royal Flex Tex SRX saddle supports longer rides with frequent surface changes. The One1 Alloy seatpost has a 27.2 mm diameter, and Velo Reflective bar tape improves grip confidence.
The 6061-T6 aluminum frame is built around a stiffer platform for efficient power transfer when riding out of the saddle and on the flats. The gravel geometry and wider 42-622 tires increase stability on gravel and in fast descents. The 2x10 range with an 11–38T cassette makes it easier to choose the right cadence when switching between asphalt and long climbs. Mechanical disc brakes with dual pistons help maintain consistent modulation on longer descents and in poorer weather.
Rock Machine Lukk 40 is for experienced riders who want a gravel bike for daily training, commuting, and bikepacking. You’ll appreciate the 2x10 setup for closer gear spacing on climbs and when riding in a group. Compared to purely sport-focused gravel frames, it puts more emphasis on stable handling and all-round versatility.
