Rock Machine RIFF Jr 24 kids’ bike Gloss Fire Red is a children’s mountain bike with 24" wheels for recreational trails and riding on paved roads. In terms of design, it sits in the affordable kids’ MTB category, where easy maintenance and straightforward handling are key. The spec is aimed at children who already know how to shift and brake off-road.
The frame is made from an aluminum alloy, built for durability for regular off-road use as well as commuting. The rigid Blizz 24" aluminum fork with Custom Tubing supports precise tracking on hard surfaces. The geometry matches a kids’ MTB, with an emphasis on stability and easy control at lower speeds. MTB-standard cockpit components promote a more upright position and better control in terrain.
Drivetrain: Shimano SL-M315-8R shifters work with an 8-speed Shimano CS-HG31-8 cassette with 11–34 teeth. The Shimano Altus RD-M310-L rear derailleur is paired with a Wheel Top 28-tooth crankset and a Thun Ibex BSA bottom bracket.
Brakes: Tektro J310 rim brakes reduce service demands and make adjustment easier. Braking performance depends on properly set pads and clean rim braking surfaces.
Wheels and tires: The 24" kids’ wheel size is paired with Rubena Scylla 24×1.9" tires with tread for mixed surfaces. The hubs use quick release; the rear is a One1 KTAZER with 130 mm spacing.
Cockpit: One1 Alloy handlebars are 600 mm wide with a 10° backsweep for a more secure grip. A One1 Alloy 15° stem is complemented by a One1 27.2 mm seatpost and a Selle Royal Junior saddle.
The combination of an aluminum frame and a rigid aluminum fork gives the bike direct steering response and stable handling on hard surfaces. The 24×1.9" tires increase confidence on gravel and light terrain thanks to their greater volume. The 1×8 gearing with an 11–34 tooth range makes starts and short climbs easier without dealing with a front derailleur. Rim brakes require a gentler touch in the wet, but in dry conditions they offer well-modulated stopping power.
The RIFF Jr 24 is designed for kids who already ride independently and want a kids’ MTB for trips, farm roads, and light trails. It will appeal to riders who prefer simple servicing and straightforward controls with a single chainring. Within the category of kids’ mountain bikes with 24" wheels, it focuses on functional components and a durable foundation for everyday use.
