Why change a good thing? To make them unbeatable. DebonAir+ is the result of a constant search for optimal performance. The new DebonAir+ builds on everything you know and love about DebonAir technology – and then some. The goal was to provide a uniform riding experience for all three fork platforms, where each would correspond to the volume of air in both the positive and negative chambers.
The Charger 3 damping oil cartridge comes with independent adjustment of high-speed and low-speed compression. No more worrying about trade-offs where HSC affects LSC or vice versa. For you, this means more control, confidence and comfort, to enjoy the trails. Tuning the suspension to your riding and trail style has never been so precise and comfortable. Welcome to the future.
Two small rubber pucks, coated with gold paint, are placed on the right end of the shock absorbers and air springs and fit into the fork stanchions. ButterCups dampen high-frequency vibrations before they vibrate your hands and arms. ButterCups are part of all Ultimate models and can be retrofitted to all Pike, Lyrik and ZEB models. For example, in quick sections of trail with roots and rocks ButterCups eliminate neverending chatter.
The new pressure relief valves eliminate air pressure build-up in the lower part of the fork caused by changes in altitude or temperature. By simply pressing the button you release built-up pressure, resetting the fork to neutral.
Rock Shox's continued collaboration with Maxima Racing Oils has resulted in an improved oil, developed with leading experts in the field of performance lubrication. The oil is specially designed for the new Rock Shox fork range, where the aim was to create the perfect lubricant blend to keep your suspension fresher.
Using RockShox's Torque Caps adds another 5% of torsional stiffness to the forks. But if "free stiffness" doesn't interest you, all Pike, Lyrik and ZEB forks now make it easy to run standard end caps via the new thread-on Hub End Cap Adapters.
