The men's Salewa Ortles Tirolwool® Air Hooded JACKET is a technically advanced climbing and alpine insulated layer designed for demanding conditions.

It stands out by combining natural Tyrolean sheep wool with functional synthetic fibers in the Tirolwool® Air insulation, which unites the benefits of wool (natural warmth, comfort) with lightness and an excellent weight-to-insulation capacity ratio.

The outer materials complement robust and wind/water-resistant inserts, designed for use in high-altitude environments: helmet-compatible hood, two-way zipper for easy access, adjustable cuffs with thumb loops, etc.

Main features

Tirolwool® Air insulation: Tyrolean wool + up to 75% recycled polyester. Hollow fibers within the insulation trap air and efficiently maintain body heat even with light movement or at rest.

Technical design for mountains: Helmet-compatible hood, two-way central zipper, outer zippered pockets, adjustable cuffs with Velcro + thumb loop for better fixation under the glove. 

Wind and rain resistance: The outer material offers wind resistance and water repellency - suitable for changing conditions in alpine terrain. 

Comfort and functionality: Ergonomically shaped collar, inner pockets made of mesh for storing small items, possibility of using as insulation under an outer layer.
