Salewa Puez 25 l is a versatile men's backpack with easy access and a ventilated carrying system.
Designed based on extensive research and development work with mountain enthusiasts and professional alpinists. The backpack features a Dry Back Contact carrying system with EVA padding for airflow, providing comfortable wear with excellent ventilation. With durable water-repellent (DWR) finish free of PFC.
The backpack is made of durable and lightweight materials - 210 denier Robic ripstop nylon and textured 330 denier ballistic ripstop nylon, in a progressive and versatile design with a top zipper and front zipper access.
The backpack's setup and the quick and easy access to the contents are ensured by the reliable Infinity Zip.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
The Salewa Dry Back Air system is designed to keep the weight close to the body and ensure that the back stays dry for as long as possible. This has been achieved by reducing the contact area between the support system and the user's back, technical construction using air channels and breathable materials.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
