For long rides on bike paths as well as everyday commuting, you need a tire you can rely on even when the asphalt turns into a rougher surface. Schwalbe Marathon Performance GreenGuard 28" will give you the confidence of a smooth ride, decent rolling resistance, and the feeling that the bike holds its line even when the road isn’t exactly pristine.
Schwalbe Marathon trekking tire is built for high mileage and stable handling in real-world use, where you’ll occasionally encounter gravel, glass, or sharp edges. The protective GreenGuard technology helps significantly reduce the risk of punctures, so you can focus on your pace and route, not what’s lying on the road. The ADDIX Eco compound is tuned for efficient rolling and long service life, while still providing a secure grip even when the weather changes. The prominent Black-Reflex element improves the bike’s side visibility, which you’ll appreciate on the way back at dusk and in city traffic.
The tire is designed for bikes with the 28x1.40 size, matching the ETRTO 37-622 standard and the common 700x35C designation, so it fits most trekking and urban 28" rims. It’s a tube-type version with a wired bead, which is practical for everyday use and holds its shape well. The recommended pressure range is 4–6 Bar, roughly 55 to 85 PSI depending on rider weight and surface, and the 67 TPI construction balances durability and comfort. The weight of one tire is approximately 740 g and the maximum load per tire is 95 kg; the color is black with a reflective stripe.
Schwalbe Marathon Performance GreenGuard 28" is a reliable trekking tire for riders who want long service life, puncture protection, and improved safety thanks to reflective elements. It’s suitable for the city, bike paths, and longer trips, and it also makes sense for regular e-bikes intended for similar use.
