In winter, even a familiar route can turn into an unpredictable gamble. Schwalbe Motion Spike E-25 42-622 will bring back peace of mind when riding on snow and icy sections. When it’s dark and wet, you’ll also appreciate improved visibility in traffic.
The spikes and pronounced winter tread help you hold your line on smooth snow and frozen surfaces, especially when cornering and braking.
The Winter compound stays flexible even in freezing weather, so the bike doesn’t feel “wooden” and grip is easier to read.
K-Guard technology adds protection against everyday punctures, which comes in handy when commuting over grit and winter mess.
The reflective strip on the sidewall increases side visibility, which is immediately noticeable in low light and snowfall.
The 28x1.60 tire size corresponds to the ETRTO marking 42-622.
The recommended pressure range is 2–5 bar (30–70 PSI).
The load capacity per tire is up to 90 kg.
The tire weighs 905 g.
Schwalbe Motion Spike E-25 is a trekking tire with a wire bead and tube-type construction for winter rides and occasional commuting. By fine-tuning the pressure, you can easily adapt the bike’s handling to dry asphalt as well as slippery stretches. For pedelec support up to 25 km/h, the E-25 rating adds extra confidence.
