Shimano PD-MT520 SPD MTB clipless pedals black

Description

When the trail starts to roll and roots try to pull your feet out from under you, you want your bike under control and your mind at ease. Shimano PD-MT520 SPD MTB clipless pedals keep your power transfer secure while staying predictable in every corner. That quiet feeling of confidence comes with every clean clip-in.

Main benefits

Thanks to the SPD (Shimano Pedaling Dynamics) system, you get a reliable connection between shoe and pedal on the trail as well as on longer climbs. The clip-in mechanism works from multiple sides, so you engage naturally even in technical sections.

The open binding makes clipping in easier and helps in wet conditions, when dirt tends to build up in the pedal. The compact body feels confident under pedaling and doesn’t get in the way when handling the bike off-road.

A platform surrounds the cleat, adding support on short stretches without fully clipping in. You’ll appreciate that on descents, when starting on a climb, and during slow maneuvers.

Adjustable spring tension lets you fine-tune release to match your technique and leg strength. You can ride more relaxed, or dial it in tighter when you want maximum security under power.

Technical specifications

The technical designation of the pedals is PD-MT520 for MTB use.

The retention technology is SPD with a recessed cleat for off-road riding.

The axle is made from chrome-moly for high durability.

The bearings consist of a sealed bearing cartridge system sealed bearing cartridge.

Conclusion

Shimano PD-MT520 are MTB clipless pedals for riders who want durability, stable contact, and easy engagement. They’re suited to trails, rides, and everyday cycling where pace and surface change. The black finish fits most bikes and looks equally understated and sporty.
