Sidas technical socks that are lightweight and breathable, suitable for running.
They have been designed to support the evolving condition of feet during long performances. Over long distances, muscle fatigue causes the foot to expand and elongate, stretching tendons and making the heel more sensitive. Therefore, a new line of socks was developed with athletes from the Sidas Matryx team, which acts as an exoskeleton and mitigates the effects of muscle fatigue on the foot during long-distance races.
The socks offer compression bands at the heel and metatarsals to prevent injury and fatigue, breathability around the foot to prevent sweat buildup, two grip strips to improve synergy between the sock and the sole, an In&Out construction for greater precision and better feel, and a reflective strip for better visibility during night runs.
Another plus is excellent moisture wicking and odor reduction thanks to Polygiene technology. This treatment uses naturally occurring silver salt microparticles to prevent the spread and growth of bacteria and reduce odor from activities. Additionally, this technology keeps the socks fresher for longer and extends their durability.
The socks are sewn in a snug style, if you prefer comfort, choose a larger size.
Sweat itself is odorless. However, in conjunction with textiles, they form an ideal medium for the multiplication of bacteria leading to the creation of unpleasant odors. The Polygiene® treatment concentrated on the surface of the textile forms a protective layer that destroys this bacterial growth through the action of a low amount of 100% concentrated silver chloride. This treatment is harmless to health. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to wash at a lower temperature and not as often, which is better for the environment.
