Sram Centera 3x9sp Twist Shifter

Hello, does the delivery include both the right and left grip/shifter? (In the picture there’s only the left side, for the front derailleur; what I mainly need is the right side for the rear derailleur.) My bike has SRAM 4.0 Pro 3x9, and from the picture it looks completely identical, except for the lettering. I assume it’s compatible. If the delivery includes the whole pair, please confirm and I’ll order.

Hello,

thank you for your question.

The package includes both the right and left shifter.

Have a nice day,

Please confirm whether the offered Sram Centera grip shifters really work with standard Shimano rear derailleurs (Deore, LX, XT non-inverse) - I need to replace a GripShift Attack 3x9 whose rubber grips have worn out. In the picture you have the triple chainring shifter with an indicator; does the rear-derailleur side have an indicator too?

Hello,

yes, this use is possible. Gear indicators are on both sides.

Have a nice day.

Is this shifter usable with a SRAM X7 rear derailleur?

If I remember correctly, those derailleurs had the same 2:1 ratio and were just inverse, so it should work as well.

Yes, for example you can use the queried Centera shifter with Shimano derailleurs.

Ondřej Technical Support

Hello, unfortunately not, X7 has a 1:1 ratio and this twist shifter has 2:1.

Hello, I’d like to ask about the SRAM Centera 3x9 / 3x8 twist shifter: Is the left shifter for the triple chainring indexed, or does it have smooth micro positions? Thanks in advance for the info. Lukáš

Hello, this shifter has several micro positions, so it’s not indexed only 1-2-3.
