The robust enduro helmet Troy Lee Designs A2 perfectly combines safety, style, comfort, and ventilation during your ride.
The A2 model sets a new standard for mountain bike helmets. The inner shell consists of two layers - EPP for slow impact and EPS for high-speed impact. By combining these materials, you get protection at various impact speeds. The increased EPS wedge profile optimally absorbs impact. The outer polycarbonate layer is reinforced with a durable layer of fibers used in the aerospace industry.
Of course, it features the Mips system, which is a slip liner between the helmet body and inner pads, offering increased protection during angled impacts (for example, if you catch your head on a branch). The helmet uses the Mips layer, rotating a few millimeters to protect the head and brain from sudden rotational jerks.
Ventilation is ensured by a sufficient number of vents.
The fastening system is flexible, with 3 positions at the front and rear, allowing the helmet to easily adapt to you. The helmet has a wide field of view and side clearance for perfect goggle fitting.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
