The new Tubolight Diamana rim insert reduces tire rebound and helps maintain stable tire pressure on the surface by effectively managing the airflow through the insert.
The channels on the sides of the insert are designed to create the so-called Venturi effect. This means that as the channels narrow, the speed of the air flowing through them increases, accelerating the airflow from the outer part of the insert to the inner section between the insert and the rim. The air is then trapped in the inner section, extending the time before it returns to the outer section. During the entire cushioning process, there is very little air at the point where the tire is compressed.
Tubolight Diamana is made from high-density, high-strength EVA foam to ensure shape stability and consistent airflow between the channels. This also contributes to its extremely long lifespan. The expected lifespan is several years.
