Uvex Air Wing 2 is an affordable universal helmet suitable for all types of cycling.
Inmould technology by directly injecting polystyrene into the shell firmly joins both parts and distributes the impact energy across the entire surface of the helmet.
The 3D IAS adjustment system allows for easy setting of the helmet's inner circumference and its height inside the shell. The system ensures a well-fitting helmet that doesn't press anywhere.
Thanks to simple FAS straps, you can adjust the helmet to fit the shape of your face, and the helmet safely stays on your head in all situations.
The back part of the helmet can be fitted with a separately sold LED light - not included in the package.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
