Description

Wireless VDO R5 GPS computer offers more than 34 essential metrics of your ride. The R5 computer displays instant speed, day distance covered, ride time, clock, average and maximum speed, total distance, and ride time, and among others, this smart computer also provides navigation functions and can be paired with compatible e-bikes.

The high-contrast 2.4-inch display with extra-large digits is easy to read even during the ride. The highlighted blue square in the upper-right corner of the display offers a new way to view training data. In combination with the SIGMA RIDE app for smartphones, up to six individual training data displays can be set up with just a few clicks.

The built-in air pressure sensor provides reliable information on altitude using barometric measurement, determines ascents and descents, and thus allows for an accurate recording of the route. VDO R5 also allows graphic representation of the altitude profile of your route. The starting altitude at the beginning of the ride is either automatically calibrated using GPS or can be set manually.

Easy Navigation
The VDO R5 GPS computer can be easily paired with the SIGMA RIDE app for smartphones. With this app, it's possible to import routes from other sources or navigate to a specific destination using the "Search & Go" function and its detailed turn-by-turn instructions. These are displayed on the computer's screen as arrows, while the phone is safely tucked away in a pocket or backpack.

The R5 GPS can also work with many e-bike models. The computer connects to a compatible e-bike system and displays the current level of motor support, battery status, and other important data on the screen.

Thanks to the "Smart Notifications" feature, you can stay connected to the world around you even while cycling. Information about incoming calls and text messages from your smartphone is displayed on the computer screen.

Convenient Data Analysis with SIGMA RIDE App
The SIGMA RIDE app is a free tool for transferring training data from the GPS computer to a smartphone via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). The app clearly presents basic data and statistics using colorful segments, which are immediately readable and easily analyzable. You can instantly share your ride data in training apps like Strava, TrainingPeaks, or Komoot.
