The R+ from Why Cycles pushes the limits of what other gravel bikes can do. Why's engineers have optimised this bike for use with 700x40c tyres, but it can also be used with 700×46c or 27.5×2.1" wheels.

The R+ is an extremely versatile bike. It is at home on gravel roads and long rides on forest trails where comfort is paramount. You who love speed, don't let the preceding sentences put you off. This bike can hold up great on a cyclocross racing circuit. And if you fit the bike with smooth road tyres, you get an extra fast bike for the tarmac roads of the world.

R+ GEOMETRY

The R+ has some unique geometric features, most notably its low center stack and reach. The low center compound affects how the bike turns and, combined with the chain length, affects its stability. The reach is slightly longer than similar bikes, eliminating toe contact with the front wheel in tight turns.

BECAUSE TITANIUM IS MAGICAL

We make our bikes from the best possible materials for the terrain we ride. We use the highest quality grade 9 3/2.5 titanium for our frame tubes and 6/4 titanium for the head tube, center compound shell and machined welds throughout the frame. The Wonder material has so many outstanding ride quality attributes: 43% lighter than steel, a higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum, significantly more resistant to impact damage than carbon, and the best vibration damping properties of the three materials.
