Description

Beany Zero 24 kids’ bike Pink is a lightweight children’s bike with 24" wheels for everyday rides and first racing attempts. It falls into the kids’ bike category with an emphasis on low weight and easy handling. It is designed for riders 115–135 cm tall and, within the 24" wheel class, focuses on low weight and functional components.

Frame and geometry

The frame is made from 6061 aluminum alloy with triple-butted tubes, reducing weight while maintaining stiffness. The rigid Beany alloy 6061 fork holds an accurate line and keeps maintenance needs to a minimum. The geometry is designed for a child-friendly riding position and stability at lower speeds as well as over off-road bumps. The frame size is 11", and the rear end has a length of 386 mm.

The 71° head tube angle supports predictable handling in corners. The 66.5° seat tube angle shifts the center of gravity for stable pedaling on gentle climbs. A 916 mm wheelbase helps the bike stay composed on gravel and when rolling over uneven ground. The 550 mm standover makes mounting and dismounting safer and easier.

Components

Drivetrain: Shimano ALTUS shifting is set up in a 1x8 configuration and is paired with a Shimano ALTUS rear derailleur. The Shimano 11–34T cassette works with a KMC chain and Prowheel alloy 32T cranks with a length of 127 mm.

Brakes: Braking is handled by Tektro 837AL V-Brake rim brakes front and rear. Solely.jr brake levers have adjustable reach for smaller hands.

Wheels and tires: Solely jr. alloy wheelsets are 24-hole and are built on matching aluminum rims from the same series. Innova 24×1.50 tires with 120TPI and a folding bead support low rolling resistance.

Cockpit: Solely jr. alloy handlebars are 560 mm wide, and the Solely jr. alloy stem is 40 mm long. The Solely jr. alloy seatpost is 270 mm long, and the saddle is from Beany.

Ride characteristics

The low weight of 7.6 kg makes starts easier and improves control at low speeds. The rigid aluminum fork transfers steering directly to the front wheel, so handlebar inputs feel clear and predictable. The shorter rear end helps with lifting the front wheel and quick direction changes. The 11–34T cassette range helps keep cadence on climbs without the need for a front derailleur.

The bike is intended for more experienced kids on 24" bikes who go on longer rides and try riding on gravel or forest roads.
