Fox Union BOA® Shoes are designed to take your mountain biking adventure to the next level.
These shoes feature a dual BOA® Li2 system that ensures complete security.
The shoes have robust features, including a toe design shaped into a "cap" that protects against rock impacts and can easily handle challenging rocky trails.
A low-profile, custom-tuned EVA midsole with a lightweight and precise fit enhances grip and pedal feel, while providing greater comfort. The molded internal reinforcement adds strength to your pedal stroke.
The outsole is designed using Ultratac™ rubber compound with an engineered tread pattern, offering the best grip and durability in its class, while the 2-bolt system is compatible with most major clipless pedal suppliers.
The shoes boast versatility and subtle style, with welded construction that protects against the elements.
BOA is a technology developed by Boa Technology Inc. This patented technology is based on three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial in the form of a rotating wheel, a thin extra-strong lace and low-friction lace guides. This system is an effective way to tighten shoes and other equipment across many sports (golf, winter sports, cycling, athletics, hiking, and others). BOA Technology Inc. is headquartered in Denver, CO with offices in Austria, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
