Aluminum Frame with Modern Geometry
The lightweight aluminum ALUXX frame combined with the full-carbon fork perfectly balances stiffness for maximum pedaling efficiency and compliance for high comfort. The frame geometry blends an endurance riding position with a shorter rear end for precise handling, agility, and perfect bike control. A longer reach (i.e., the horizontal distance from the bike's center to the top of the head tube), shorter stem, and lower bottom bracket enhance stability on rough terrain.
High Comfort
The new frame features lower, smaller diameter seat stays for even better shock and vibration absorption. Enhanced comfort is further achieved with the specially shaped D-Fuse seat post and Contact XR D-Fuse handlebars – both work together as a system to provide slight flex under load without sacrificing stiffness during cornering, climbing, or out-of-saddle riding.
Bike Adaptation to Terrain
A key innovation is the flip chip rear dropouts, which allow adjustment of the bike's wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase offers higher bike "agility," while setting it to a longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds and simultaneously increases space for the rear tire (up to 53 mm). The new frame also allows for the choice of seat post type (thanks to a special adapter), enabling the use of either the "flexing" Giant D-Fuse seat post or a standard round seat post of 30.9 mm – thus, the frame accommodates the use of a dropper post.
