The Revolt X is a modern gravel bike that, thanks to its suspension fork and slightly cushioned dropper seatpost, offers even greater capabilities for riding in rough terrain. Its foundation is a lightweight and comfortable aluminum frame with optimized geometry for front suspension. With the Flip Chip rear dropout, it is possible to change the wheelbase and adjust the bike according to the terrain or personal preferences.
The new gravel frame geometry is specifically designed for use with a 40mm travel suspension fork. This fork, developed specifically for gravel bikes, improves handling in demanding terrain and provides greater stability.
For even better shock and vibration absorption, the frame is equipped with smaller diameter seat stays. To ensure higher comfort, Contact SL XR D-Fuse handlebars are used, which slightly flex under load without affecting stiffness during turning, climbing, or riding out of the saddle. To enhance comfort at the rear of the bike, there is a dropper seatpost that also provides gentle cushioning.
The Flip Chip dropout feature allows you to adjust the wheelbase and influence the bike's behavior. A shorter wheelbase means greater agility, while a longer wheelbase improves stability at higher speeds. This system also allows for increased tire clearance at the rear, up to a maximum width of 53mm. The frame is also equipped with a choice of seatpost types - a classic round variant with a diameter of 30.9mm or alternatively the Giant D-Fuse seatpost, which excels in dampening shocks and vibrations.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
The Flip Chip system presents fast geometry adjustment for better adaptation to the terrain and style of the environment. It is based on offset, double-positioned inserts in the upper linkage. Turning these inserts changes the headtube and seatube angles and bottom bracket height. A hex key is all you need to make the change.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
