Giro Aries Spherical Helmet is a top-notch cycling helmet designed for road riders, combining lightweight, maximum ventilation, and advanced head protection.
The helmet profile has been reduced to best mimic the head silhouette, and together with 24 Wind Tunnel™ ventilation openings ensures optimal airflow and comfort even during long and challenging rides.
Inside the helmet is the Spherical Technology Powered by MIPS, where two elastomerically connected hemispheres absorb impact forces and allow the hemispheres to move relative to each other, thereby dampening impact energy.
The outer shell is made from a harder material, the inner from a softer material (Progressive Layering), and a special Aura Reinforcement Arch strengthens the entire construction.
Secure and comfortable fit on the head is ensured by the patented Roc Loc® 5+ Air retention system along with Ionic+ antibacterial padding and ultralight Slimline straps.
The helmet provides enhanced protection against rotational forces thanks to the MIPS system.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
