Road cyclists and gravel enthusiasts deserve gear that meets professional standards. The compact construction is designed with an emphasis on maximum ventilation – 22 vents are connected by deep internal channels that efficiently dissipate heat and ensure a pleasant climate even at high speeds. The integrated MIPS Evolve Core system enhances protection against rotational forces in the event of an impact and works in conjunction with the premium Roc Loc® 5 Air retention system for a perfect fit on the head.
Strength and safety are supported by the In-mold construction complemented by the Thermoformed SL Roll Cage™ internal reinforcement, which enhances structural durability without unnecessary weight gain.
Everyday comfort is ensured by Ionic+™ antibacterial padding, practical integrated eyewear grippers, and reflective elements for better visibility.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall.
