With the IXS Carve 1.0 MIPS helmet, you can stay calm when the trail turns into rocks and roots. It fits securely, breathes well, and stays out of the way—so you can focus only on your line and pace.
MIPS® Air Node technology helps reduce rotational forces during an impact while maintaining smooth airflow. Thanks to this, your head stays better protected even on longer descents.
The Multi-Shell In-Mold construction with patented Head-Guard reinforcement spreads impact energy over a larger area. At the same time, the helmet retains strength and stability without unnecessary extra weight.
The 360° ErgoFit system wraps the head evenly, and fine adjustment keeps the helmet in place even in technical sections. Three-level height adjustment helps fine-tune the fit to your head shape.
Practical details support everyday trail and enduro riding. You’ll appreciate the adjustable visor and sunglasses storage when alternating between shade and open sections.
The shell construction is Multi-Shell In-Mold with patented Head-Guard reinforcement.
The protection system features MIPS® Air Node to reduce rotational forces.
The closure uses the magnetic FIDLOCK® SNAP system for quick handling with gloves on.
Sizes are S for a head circumference of 53–56 cm, M for 56–59 cm, and L for 59–62 cm.
IXS Carve 1.0 MIPS is an open-face mountain biking helmet that combines well-thought-out protection, comfort, and ventilation. The iF Design Award and Design & Innovation Award highlight that function and looks go hand in hand. EN 1078 and CPSC certification provides confidence for everyday trail use.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
