MTB helmet for beginner and advanced ambitious riders.
The multi in-mold construction consists of a polycarbonate base complemented by an EPS insert. The extended shape in the temples and nape area ensures additional protection.
Integrated MIPS technology reduces rotational forces on the brain during a fall or impact.
The helmet allows for height adjustment for a perfect fit.
The padding is quick-drying and can be removed, washed, or even replaced.
Weight: 340 g (52-56 cm), 360 g (56-59 cm), 410 g (59-61 cm).
As with the In-Mold construction, polystyrene is compressed and injected into the polycarbonate shell, forming an isolated whole. The difference is the use of the inside of the helmet and the back for more protection of the skull.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
The fastening mechanism located under the chin has several positions and can be easily adjusted with one hand while riding. Its flat design prevents twisting in the hands. Monomatic® is, without exception, standard equipment on all Uvex helmets.
The quick adjustment system of the helmet straps allows for optimal helmet position adjustment. The helmet sits firmly on the head at all times and the straps stay in place.
