With the new Liv Lurra model, you will experience endless fun riding off-road even without rear suspension. This bike features modern trail geometry, 130 mm of front suspension travel, and of course, a dropper seatpost.
The foundation of this bike is the ALUXX SL aluminum frame with a modern design. It is equipped with a slacker head angle fork at 66°, which provides improved control both on descents and technical sections. In contrast, during climbs, you can enjoy a steeper seat angle that places you in the right position for easy and efficient handling of steep ascents. This also gives you a more playful and highly maneuverable bike thanks to the shorter rear triangle.
The frame geometry is fully optimized for 29" wheels. With 29" wheels, you can improve the bike's ability to overcome obstacles such as roots or rocky sections due to easier rolling over bumps.
Excellent front suspension is provided by the Giant Crest 34 air fork with 130 mm of travel, which perfectly smooths out the terrain and eliminates both large and small bumps. For maximum comfort on descents, there is a dropper seatpost, and wider tires ensure even greater confidence. The bike is prepared for tubeless operation – modern tubeless technology improves bike handling thanks to lower tire pressure and also significantly reduces the risk of punctures.
This Performance level frame material features 6061 alloy with single-butted tubes to produce strong, lightweight framesets for a variety of different bikes and riding styles.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
