With the new Liv Lurra model, enjoy endless fun while off-roading even without rear suspension.
This bike offers a modern trail geometry, 130 mm of front travel, and naturally, it includes a dropper post.
The foundation of this bike is an ALUXX SL aluminum frame with a modern design. It is equipped with a slacker fork with a 66° head angle, providing improved handling in descents and technical sections. Conversely, on climbs, you can enjoy a steeper seat angle, putting you in the optimal position for effortless and efficient tackling of steep inclines. This also gives you a more playful and excellently maneuverable bike due to the shorter rear chainstays.
The frame geometry is fully optimized for smaller 27.5" wheels (size XS and S) or larger 29" wheels (size S, M, L) with various riding characteristics. With smaller wheels, you can expect well-balanced riding dynamics and excellent control. Opting for 29" wheels can enhance the ability to overcome obstacles such as roots or rocky patches, thanks to easier rolling over obstacles.
Excellent front suspension is provided by the Giant Crest 34 air fork with 130 mm of travel, which perfectly smooths out the terrain and eliminates both large and small bumps. For maximum comfort on descents, there's a dropper post, and wider tires give you even more confidence. The bike is ready for tubeless operation — modern tubeless technology enhances riding performance due to lower tire pressure and significantly reduces the risk of punctures.
State-of-the-art aluminum material is made predominantly from 6011 alloy and delivers best-in-class strength-to-weight ratios. These framesets also feature unique welding technologies for a high-performance ride quality.
The oversized fork steerer aims to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise control. Oversized headset bearings (bottom 1 1/4" and top 1 1/8" on road bikes and bottom 1 1/2" and top 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and tapered fork steerer are included for optimal steering stiffness .
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture. We can most often come across names such as Tubeless Ready (TR or TLR), Tubeless Easy (TLE) or Tubeless Compatible (TC), etc. Despite different branding from manufacturers, the essence of the system is the same.
