The new Magped SPORT2 safety magnetic pedals are an innovative advancement for mountain bikes and e-bikes. The redesigned SPORT AL version shines not only with higher stability and lighter weight but also offers more in terms of color options compared to its predecessor. Various color choices now allow you to tailor it to match your bike's color scheme.
The patented magnetic mechanism provides a safe, quick, and easy way to detach your foot from the pedal on both sides.
The risk of falls and injuries is reduced to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with a fixed connection.
The Magped Sport2 pedals with a 150N magnet are recommended for sporty cyclists and individuals up to 80 kg.
Magped pedals are modern and high-quality platforms made of lightweight CNC-machined aluminum with a CrMo axle. The weight, including the patented magnet system, is only 440 g (150N magnet, manufacturer information) per pair.
Depending on the chosen magnetic strength, the shoe is magnetically held to the pedal with up to 15 kg of pulling force. The pulling force acts mainly vertically, and the pedal can be removed from the side with almost no noticeable resistance. Even in critical situations, quick and easy removal straight up is no problem.
The pedals allow slight rotation of the shoe, thus protecting the joints when pedaling. The position can also be shifted forward and backward without changing the pulling force, making it easy to find the ideal position for both mounting and dismounting.
Height: 18 mm (without pins)
Number of pins: 6 pins per pedal side, replaceable
The insert made of non-rusting special steel can be mounted on any SPD-compatible cycling shoe using 2 screws within a few minutes. Unlike other systems, dirt is not an issue. Additionally, the risk of tripping while walking is reduced, and walking comfort is significantly improved.

Hello. Do you also need completely special shoes for this, or is it enough to just change something on SPD shoes?
Dobrý den. Jsou k tomu potřeba i úplně speciální noty a nebo jen stačí něco vyměnit na SPD botách?

I also have the older type. These are lighter.
Mám i starší typ. Tyto jsou lehčí.
My only objection, for my use, is that the shoe position on the pedal isn’t precisely defined. But that can be an advantage for someone. It’s also necessary to use cycling shoes with a flat, soft sole and without pronounced grooves. Then the pins do their job. What’s great is being able to release the shoe when needed. But unlike classic clipless pedals, i.e. not by twisting out, but by flipping out.
Installation went smoothly, both on the bike and the cleats on the shoes. Not ridden yet.
Montáž proběhla hladce, jak na kolo tak destičky na obuv.Zatím nejeté.
