The new version of the Maxxis Dissector for 2025 is back with major improvements for better control, cornering, and braking.
The redesigned side knobs have a larger contact area, which increases grip and stability, especially on hard surfaces.
The center tread retains the fast-rolling 2-3-2 arrangement but now has split center knobs for better braking performance and terrain adaptability.
The transition knobs are shifted further out for smoother cornering.
Ideal as a front tire for trail bikes with 130–140 mm travel, or as a fast rear tire for bikes with 150 mm or more travel in dry conditions.
Greatly pairs with a Forekaster or Rekon for a balanced ride.
Recommended use: dry, hard, rocky terrain.
The recommended rim width for these tires is 30 - 35mm.
3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compound that offers superior grip and slow rebound properties for unmatched traction, especially in downhill use.
EXO+ is Maxxis' medium puncture protection option suitable for all-round trail riding and lightweight e-bikes. It starts with a durable 60 TPI casing, an EXO puncture protection layer to the sidewalls, and finished off with a small butyl insert around the tire bead. The rigid construction and EXO material deflects damage from rocks and roots, while the butyl liner protects the tire from pinching at the rim and damaging the rim in a hard impact.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance.
And where there is no tube, it also reduces the risk of punctures. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared to be mounted with sealant than other "tubeless" tires. The bead of TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true tubeless UST tire.
