The Minion DHF tire was designed for downhill racing on loose and muddy conditions, specifically for the NORBA series.
The Maxxis Minion DHF utilizes ramped knobs that reduce rolling resistance, combined with channel-cut knobs to increase the number of contact edges, ensuring better straight-line control and precise cornering.
Depending on track conditions, the DHF version can be used both front and rear or in combination with the DHR at the back.

The rigid construction and EXO material deflects damage from rocks and roots, while the butyl liner protects the tire from pinching at the rim and damaging the rim in a hard impact.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread pattern and profile of the tire on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for 35mm inner rim widths, but have been proven to work in the 30-35mm inner rim width range. Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm inner rims, but will work well on rims as narrow as 25mm. Maxxis does not recommend rims wider than 30 mm or narrower than 25 mm.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance.
And where there is no tube, it also reduces the risk of punctures. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared to be mounted with sealant than other "tubeless" tires. The bead of TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a true tubeless UST tire.
