Description

PearTune integrates easily into the e-bike system using compatible original connectors.

The device requires no setup or diagnostics for installation—everything happens automatically and adapts to the specific e-bike.

PearTune is connected between the speedometer sensor and the motor unit, and between the display and the motor unit. It is powered from the display. All data such as current, average, and maximum speed, or distance traveled, remain accurately displayed.

You can turn PearTune MSO on or off at any time during your ride by holding the light button twice for a long press, or by pressing the + and - buttons four times quickly.

The main advantage is that after installation, the e-bike's maximum speed is no longer limited—it is only determined by the pedaling frequency.

Installation:

Unscrew the plastic cover on the side of the motor where there is no chainring to access the necessary cables and connectors between the motor and the bike frame.
Disconnect the 8-pin connectors between the display and the motor, and between the speed sensor and the motor.
Connect the PearTune connectors in place of the original connectors to the motor unit. PearTune connectors are marked in red and must be connected precisely in their place.
Place the chip in a suitable spot, such as inside the bike frame, ideally with the chip body facing up, and secure the cables. Then replace the plastic cover and tighten the screws.

Usage:

You can activate/deactivate PearTune MSO at any time during the ride by pressing the LIGHT button twice LONG or by briefly pressing the + button and then immediately the - button.

The original functions of these buttons remain unchanged. PearTune MSO's activity is indicated on the display with a value of 9.9 km/h or 6.2 mph (PearTune is activated) and 2.5 km/h or 1.6 mph (PearTune is deactivated) for several seconds after activation/deactivation. If you have the "Still ON" version, you don't need to do anything for activation = the chip activates/deactivates automatically when the bike is turned on/off. If you have the 4.0 SMART version, you can change the activation buttons in the CHIP SERVICE MENU as you wish.

If you plan to install the PearTune MSO on a new e-bike, be sure to ride at least 1 km on it before installing the PearTune MSO. It is possible that during long rides with speeds over 25 km/h with motor assistance, some data on the display may not immediately reflect their actual values. After some time without motor assistance or at speeds below 25 km/h, these values should always adjust. After a long ride at high speed, we recommend not turning off the e-bike immediately. The simplest way is to let the e-bike turn off automatically or keep the bike ON after the ride until the display shows a value of 0.0 km/h or 0.0 mph.

Do not update the bike's software after installation to avoid any issues with the chip's functionality.
