Description

PearTune MSO is an e-bike tuning chip used to remove the speed restriction of the e-bike's pedal assist at 25km/h with a Brose mid-drive motor.

PearTune BROSE is connected to the e-bike system using compatible connectors. No configuration or diagnostics are required during installation. All configuration and adaptation to the specific e-bike's settings are handled automatically.

PearTune is installed between the speedometer sensor and the motor unit and between the display and the motor unit. The display is used for power supply. All data such as current, average, maximum speed, distance traveled, etc. remain accurately displayed on the screen.

The only difference is that from the moment of installation, you, not your bike, decide how fast you go. The maximum speed is now only limited by your pedaling frequency.

Usage:

The PearTune MSO function can be turned on or off at any time during the ride by pressing the light button twice quickly. The function of this button remains unchanged with a long press. The device's activity is shown on the display once upon activation by displaying the value 9.9km/h (2.5km/h) immediately after the device is turned on (off).

Installation Procedure

① Unscrew the screws and remove the plastic cover or "cap" on the opposite side of the chainring. Bikes without a separate plastic "cap" at the bottom will require the pedal arm to be removed using the appropriate tools. The necessary cables and connectors are hidden under this cover.

② Disconnect the 5-position connector between the display unit and the motor unit and the 2-position connector between the tacho sensor and the motor unit.

③ Connect both corresponding connectors from the MSO to the motor unit in place of the original connectors and firmly press the original, previously disconnected connectors into the MSO following the color coding (red side of the wire to the red/orange wire side or down - facing the motor body).

④ To make the system water-resistant, it is recommended to use heat shrink tubing on both MSO connectors connected to the original connectors from the tacho sensor and the display unit. Use a glue gun to secure the connectors within the motor body. Position the MSO correctly and optionally secure the wiring using electrical ties. Reattach the plastic cover and pedal arm, and the bike is ready to go.
