Description

PearTune MSO BOSCH is an e-bike chip tuning device used to remove the speed limit, or pedaling assistance limit, at 25km/h on Bosch mid-drive systems.

PearTune connects to the e-bike system using compatible connectors. The device does not require any configuration or diagnostic tools during installation. All configuration and adaptation to the specific e-bike is done automatically.

PearTune is installed between the speed sensor and the motor unit, as well as between the display and the motor unit. It uses the display's power supply. All data, such as current, average, maximum speed, and distance traveled, continue to be displayed accurately on the screen.

The only difference is that from the moment of installation, you, not your bike, decide how fast you ride. The maximum speed is now only limited by your pedaling frequency.

You can turn the PearTune MSO feature on or off anytime while riding by briefly pressing the walk button. The function of this button remains unchanged with a long press. The device's activity is always shown by an element on the display (depending on the type of display) and by displaying the value 9.9 km/h (2.5 km/h) immediately upon activation (deactivation) of the device.

Installation:

① Remove the pedal arm and the plastic cover of the mid-drive (by loosening the TORX screws) on the opposite side of the chainring. Under this cover, cables and necessary connectors are located.

② Disconnect the four-pin connector between the display and the motor unit (DISPLAY) and the two-pin connector between the speed sensor and the motor unit (SPEED SENSOR).

③ Connect the corresponding MSO connectors into the motor unit instead of the originals and connect the original connectors to the MSO, following the color coding (red wire to red wire).

④ To maintain water resistance, it's advisable to use adhesive-lined heat-shrink tubing on the original connectors plugged into the MSO counterparts. Position the MSO appropriately and, if necessary, use zip ties for the wiring. Reattach the cover and pedal arm, and the bike is ready for a test ride.
