Description

PearTune BROSE connects to the e-bike system using compatible connectors. The device requires no settings or diagnostics during installation. All configuration and adaptation to the specific e-bike setup is ensured automatically.

PearTune is connected between the speedometer sensor and the motor unit and between the display and the motor unit. It uses the display power supply. All data such as current, average, maximum speed, distance traveled, etc., remain accurately displayed on the screen.

The only difference is that from the moment of installation, you, not your bike, decide how fast you go. The maximum speed is now only limited by your pedaling frequency.

Usage:

The PearTune MSO function can be turned on or off anytime during the ride with a short press of the light button. The function of this button remains unchanged with a long press. Device activity is displayed on the screen briefly after activation by showing the value 9.9km/h (2.5km/h) immediately after turning the device on (off).

Installation Procedure

① Unscrew the bolts and remove the plastic cover, or just the plastic "door" on the opposite side of the chain sprocket. For bike models that don't have separate plastic "door" at the bottom, you will need to remove the pedal arm first and then the entire plastic cover. The required cables and connectors are located under this cover or "door".

② Disconnect the five-pin connector between the display and the motor body and the two-pin connector between the speedometer sensor and the motor body.

③ Both corresponding connectors on the MSO should be plugged into the motor body instead of the original ones, and the original connectors should be plugged into the MSO following the color codes (red/orange wire to red/orange wire), or with the red wire facing downward with respect to the motor body.

④ To maintain waterproofing, it's advisable to use heat-shrink tubing with adhesive on the original connectors plugged into MSO counterparts. Alternatively, hot glue can be used to secure the connectors against falling out from the motor body. Place the MSO in a suitable position and optionally use electrical cable ties on the wiring. Reattach the cover and arm, and the bike is ready for a test ride.
