Description

PearTune can be easily integrated into the e-bike system using compatible original connectors.

The device requires no configuration or diagnostics during installation – everything happens automatically and adapts to the specific e-bike.

PearTune is connected between the speed sensor and motor unit and between the display and motor unit. It is powered from the display. All data such as current, average, and maximum speed or distance traveled is accurately displayed.

The main advantage is that after installation, the maximum speed of the e-bike is no longer limited – it is determined only by the pedaling frequency.

MSO activation occurs by briefly pressing the WALK light button.

Installation:

① Remove the plastic cover under the mid-drive. Loosen the two Allen bolts (the ones closer to the front wheel) and tilt the motor unit towards the rear wheel. Cables and connectors are located in the space between the motor and the bike frame.

② Disconnect the 4-position connector (5-position for PW-X, 8-position for GIANT) between the display unit and the motor unit and the 3-position connector between the speed sensor and the motor unit.

③ Connect all four respective MSO connectors to the corresponding four previously disconnected connectors on the e-bike. All connectors are keyed to prevent incorrect connection; there is only one way to connect them all.

④ Place the MSO in the correct position (we recommend inside the e-bike frame, if possible) and optionally secure the wiring with zip ties. Tilt the motor back and tighten the previously removed Allen bolts. Reattach the plastic cover, and the bike is ready to ride.
