These tires are specially designed to provide performance backing for everyday trail use.

The Scorpion E-MTB was built for high-powered mountain e-bikes and withstands their force. Its patented HyperWALL construction ensures the reliability of a downhill tire without excessive weight, while the SmartGRIP Gravity rubber compound provides grip on dry and wet surfaces along with excellent tear resistance thanks to an innovative and sustainable chemical component called Lignin. The tire is thus capable of maintaining its performance throughout its lifespan even when the tread is partially worn.

HyperWALL
An innovative technology that Pirelli brought into the cycling world thanks to experience and background in motorsports: a newly designed structure of the tire bead and sidewall, which further enhances tire characteristics – better handling at low tire pressures and increased pinch-flat resistance. The key features for off-road use, especially in the most demanding disciplines like gravity and eMTB, are the integrity of the tire bead and sidewall stability. The tread with its sophisticated rubber compound greatly relies on the behavior dependent on the stability and integrity of the bead and sidewall. Pirelli introduced a design where the bead and the rubber insert in the sidewall are securely attached with a textile material, ensuring they behave as one piece, not as two separate components with the possibility of moving relative to each other, which is the common standard in tire construction. The benefits of this technology in numbers (based on Pirelli's internal lab and field tests): improved bead stability (+10%), better pinch-flat protection (+50%), better handling at low tire pressures (+25%), greater sidewall puncture resistance.
The HyperWALL construction is a technology designed for mountain e-bikes as it provides additional sidewall reinforcement and better puncture resistance. The rubber insert firmly combined with the bead offers excellent pinch-flat protection and also stronger support at lower inflating pressures.
