These tires are specifically designed to provide performance support for everyday trail use.

The Scorpion E-MTB is crafted for powerful mountain e-bikes and is resistant to their power. Its patented HyperWALL construction ensures the reliability of a downhill tire without excessive weight, while the SmartGRIP Gravity rubber compound offers grip on both dry and wet surfaces and excellent tear resistance thanks to an innovative and sustainable chemical component called Lignin. Thus, the tire can maintain its performance throughout its lifespan, even with some tread wear.

HyperWALL
An innovative technology that Pirelli has brought to the cycling world thanks to its experience and background in motorsport: a newly designed bead and sidewall construction that further enhances its features – handling with low air pressures and pinch-flat resistance. Key features for off-road use, especially in the most demanding disciplines like gravity and eMTB, are the integrity of the tire bead and the stability of the sidewalls. The tread made from sophisticated rubber compound greatly relies on and its behavior depends on the stability and integrity of the bead and sidewall. Pirelli introduced a construction where the bead and rubber insert of the sidewall are securely attached with a woven material bond, behaving as a single entity, not as two separate components with possible movement against each other, which is the standard tire construction. The advantages of this technology in numbers (based on internal laboratory and practical tests by Pirelli): improved bead stability (+10%), better pinch-flat protection (+50%), better handling with low air pressures (+25%), greater sidewall cut resistance.
The HyperWALL construction is technology designed for mountain e-bikes because it provides additional sidewall reinforcement and better puncture resistance. The rubber insert firmly bonded to the bead offers excellent pinch-flat protection and stronger support at lower inflation pressures.
