The Pirelli Scorpion Trail R ProWALL 29 x 2.4 is a tire designed for trail riding in challenging terrain.

The tires use Pirelli's SmartGRIP rubber compound, which ensures solid grip and puncture protection, both in dry and wet conditions. You can rely on the Scorpion Trail on your local trails as well as on adventurous mountain trips. Their reliability and long-lasting riding performance allow you to fully focus on riding without worrying about the equipment you use.

The R model has a specific design intended for the rear wheel. It features a tread pattern with medium-height blocks and moderate spacing between them to improve traction and durability. Additionally, the tire is characterized by a high level of reliability and longevity. It works best in combination with the M model on the front wheel for maximum performance and ideal riding properties.

GENERAL TECHNOLOGIES USED:

ProWALL
A sidewall protection reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low air pressures in the tire. An added layer of nylon fabric over the sidewall's casing increases resistance not only against cuts and punctures but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in corners, allowing for better bike control and more precise track holding. These features are achieved without compromising the tire's weight and pedaling power efficiency, making tires with this technology perfect for racing XC applications all the way to aggressive Trail riding when paired with the appropriate casing (120tpi or 60tpi).

SmartGRIP
This premium rubber compound is the product of Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for 2 and 4 wheels worldwide. Pirelli engineers developed a compound with two diametrically opposite properties:
• Cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions, along with higher resistance to punctures and longer lifespan.
• Wet grip: eliminates the need to worry about changing conditions, whether it's rain or muddy and slippery sections on the track.

The result is a longer-lasting riding performance for the tire, which has excellent grip and traction in opposing conditions such as dry and wet. Moreover, it maintains these characteristics even as the tread wears out. Unlike multi-compound rubber mixtures, the single-compound SmartGRIP composition allows consistent riding characteristics throughout the tire's wear and entire lifecycle. Greater mechanical durability of the rubber also provides higher resistance not only to wear but also to punctures.
