Pirelli Scorpion XC H ProWALL 29x2.2 is a tire designed for aggressive XC and marathon. It features a low-profile block tread pattern with minimal spacing for quick and confident rides on any hard surface, both dry and wet, thanks to its SmartGRIP compound.

GENERAL USED TECHNOLOGIES:

ProWALL
Sidewall protection reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and more stable performance at low tire air pressures. The added layer of nylon fabric over the tread increases resistance not only against cuts and pinches but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in corners, allowing for better bike control and more precise line holding. These characteristics were achieved without compromising the tire's weight and efficiency in power transfer from pedaling, making tires with this technology perfect for use in racing XC applications to aggressive Trail riding when complemented by a suitable carcass (120tpi or 60tpi).

SmartGRIP
This premium rubber compound is the product of Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for both 2 and 4 wheels worldwide. Pirelli engineers developed a compound with two diametrically opposed characteristics:
• cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and increased puncture resistance along with longer lifespan
• chemical wet grip: no need to worry about changing conditions, whether it rains or if there are muddy and slippery sections on the track

The result is a longer lifespan of the tire's performance characteristics, providing excellent grip and traction in contrasting conditions such as dry and wet, and also maintaining these driving characteristics even as the tread wears. Unlike multi-compound rubber mixtures, the single-compound SmartGRIP formulation provides consistent driving properties throughout the tire's wear and entire lifespan. The higher mechanical resistance of the rubber also provides greater resistance not only to wear but also to punctures.
