Pirelli Scorpion XC H ProWALL is a tire designed for aggressive XC and marathon riding. It features a low-profile tread pattern with closely spaced blocks, providing fast and confident performance on any hard surface, whether dry or wet, thanks to the SmartGRIP rubber compound.

GENERAL USED TECHNOLOGIES:

ProWALL
A technology for reinforcing the tire sidewall for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low tire pressures. An added layer of nylon fabric over the casing on the sidewall increases resistance not only to cuts and pinch flats but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in corners, allowing for better bike control and more precise tracking. These features have been achieved without compromising the tire's weight and efficiency in power transfer from pedaling, making tires with this technology perfect for use in racing XC applications up to aggressive trail riding, when complemented with a suitable carcass (120tpi or 60tpi respectively).

SmartGRIP
This top-notch rubber compound is the result of Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for 2 and 4 wheels around the world. Pirelli engineers have developed a compound with two diametrically opposed properties:
• cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with longer lifespan
• chemical grip in the wet: there's no need to worry about changing conditions, whether it rains or if the track has muddy and slippery sections

The result is a longer lifespan of the tire's riding qualities, which maintains excellent grip and traction in contradictory conditions such as dry and wet, and still retains these riding characteristics even with tread wear, where unlike multi-compound rubber compositions, the single-compound SmartGRIP allows for balanced riding characteristics throughout the tire's wear and entire lifespan. Greater mechanical resistance of the rubber also provides higher resistance not only against wear but also against punctures.
