Pirelli Scorpion XC M is a tire designed for XC and marathon. It features a low-profile tread pattern with closely spaced blocks for fast and confident riding on any hard surface, in both dry and wet conditions, thanks to the SmartGRIP rubber compound.
Tires marked with M are an excellent choice for marathon tracks, where the types of surfaces and terrains change, and the balance between maintaining maximum speed and grip remains a crucial element. Protective sidewall reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low air pressures in the tire. An added layer of nylon fabric over the sidewall casing increases resistance not only to cuts and punctures but also improves overall tire behavior in corners, allowing for better bike control and more precise tracking. These properties were achieved without compromising the tire's weight and pedaling force transmission efficiency, making tires with this technology perfect for use in racing XC setups up to aggressive trail riding when paired with the appropriate casing (120tpi or 60tpi).
Single-component compound specially developed for Pirelli Scorpion tyres. This compound features maximum mechanical grip in dry and wet conditions together with maximum puncture resistance, but also chemical adhesion on wet terrain for all-weather driving. Single Compound was created for the most consistent performance over the life of the tire, even when the knobs begin to wear out.
