USED TECHNOLOGIES IN GENERAL:

ProWALL
Sidewall reinforcement technology for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low air pressure in tires. An added layer of nylon fabric over the casing on the sidewall increases resistance not just against cutting and pinching, but also enhances overall tire behavior in corners, allowing better bike handling and precise track keeping. These traits are achieved without compromising the tire's weight and pedaling efficiency, making tires with this technology perfect for racing XC applications up to aggressive Trail riding, provided they are supplemented with an appropriate casing (120tpi or 60tpi respectively).

SmartGRIP
This top-notch rubber compound is the product of Pirelli's experience gained from off-road racing circuits for both 2 and 4 wheels around the world. Pirelli engineers developed a compound with two diametrically opposing characteristics:
• cutting resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with longer durability
• chemical grip on wet: there's no need to worry about changing conditions if it rains or if there will be muddy and slippery sections on the track

The result is a longer lifespan of the tire's riding features, which possesses excellent grip and traction in contrasting conditions like dry and wet, but also maintains these riding characteristics even as the tread wears down. Unlike multi-compound rubber mixes, the single-compound composition of SmartGRIP allows for balanced riding qualities throughout the tire's wear and entire lifespan. Greater mechanical durability of the rubber also provides higher resistance not only against wear but also against punctures.
