SmartGRIP
Experience and victories in rally and motocross led Pirelli developers to invent the innovative SmartGRIP rubber compound. This special compound combines two opposing properties:
a) Cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and traction in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with a longer lifespan.
b) Chemical grip in wet conditions: there's no need to worry about changes in conditions, whether it rains or there are muddy and slippery sections on the track.
The result is a longer-lasting tire performance, which maintains excellent grip. The tire retains these riding qualities even as the tread wears. The single-compound composition of SmartGRIP enables consistent riding characteristics during tire wear. The greater mechanical resilience of the rubber also provides higher resistance not only to wear but also to punctures.
ProWALL
The technology of sidewall protective reinforcement for better puncture resistance and more stable performance when using low tire pressures. An added layer of nylon fabric over the sidewall casing increases resistance not only to cuts and pinches but also improves the overall behavior of the tire in corners and allows for better bike control and more precise line holding. Tires with this technology are perfect for use in racing XC applications to aggressive Trail riding.
Tubeless rims and tires have a design adapted for tubeless use, provided they are supplemented with sealant, tape and valves. Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits - the ability to run the tire with lower air pressure, which improves traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a tube tire, and less chance of a puncture.
